At a breakfastmeeting in the sun we were planning to go to Tokyo but those plans are now unfortunately canceled. So unbelievable horrible what happened there.

Lunch in that old museum I always get back to. This time we didn't even check out the exhibition but a long time ago it was a big inspiration.

Vibskov presentation in a warehouse that seemed in the middle of nowhere for me but it was probably not that bad. It was raining outside. We sneeked in with the press so we got there early (and we didn't get wet). Vibskov himself prepared the coreography. The collection was nice, I couldn't find the red thread but maybe that's not his piece of cake. Some pretty good items.

I'd always love a bag like that.

Brunch at LeLe, so amazingly good! Why don't they (who?) open a place like that in Stockholm?

Roky was great. A lot of Sweet Sixteen memories bubbling up. We were standing in the front. Of course. Roky didn't speak so much but he seemed in a quite OK condition. At least the songs sounded like in my old cassettes. Some older people asked us in the line outside what we were doing there, if we knew what we were going to see/listen to. That was a really not necessary question. I said that we're not that young. They were 45. Thay paid 695 kr for the ticket, we paid 390 kr.

We went to see The Tallest Man on Earth at Södra Teatern (beautiful theater at Mosebacke Stockholm) yesterday night. He was absolutely brilliant and I'm getting older and yes I love those cozy concerts where you sit comfortably down in a nice red velvet chair. So much talent, so real, so present. The girl that played before (Idiot Wind) was also really good and it was one of those I-could-let-the-tears-flow-now-I don't-know-why-but-I-won't concerts (when I saw Nick Cave in a similar situation In did though). Just travel with my mind, I was mostly on a Californian highway at sunset.

1) I just had to get that metal-logo book! One month ago I had that idea to make a book like that and found it weird that noone ever did it, to collect all those unreadable logos out there. And then someone did. I'm not into the bookbusiness so I'm glad they saved some work for me.

2) I couldn't resist the Ragnar Persson book either. We're probably doing a collaboration with him (L. became friends with him by coincidence in a screenprinting workshop) and that's SO GREAT.

"Red Carpet" at the Stockholm Film Festival means that the ticket cost the double and there are free popcorns, candy and sponsored whiskeydrinks. I wanted more glamour but anyway, the film THE TOWN was really good. Full of cliches but sometimes that's what you need. And I just love that kind of stories, that starts with a boom continues with more booms and then finished without you beeing bored even for one second.

A cold walk in kneehigh (more or less) snow to the studio with my head full of last nights dreams that took randoms pieces of my past putting them together in a crazy way with SMOG bathysphere as soundtrack. Now: Hot coffee, warm dog on my feet and today's e-mails.

The filmfestival is in towm and I went to see The Killer Inside Me. Nice colors light etc but the story...well. People said it was "disturbing" and that Jessica Alba left the cinema after half of the film and OF COURSE it's disturbing when innocent women get beaten up but still that nonsense violence doesn't really touch me. I'm just asking myself why they have to make a movie about it.

I prefer unconditional love from Sal a Sunday morning.

Got a dogsitter (thanks Fia!) and went to see Einsturzende Neubauten. The first time in a month with the bike and below zero (refreshing) all the way out to Djurgården. They were 10 years older than the last time I saw them (me too) and Blixa made me think of Nucky Thompson and they were a little too funny but I can't critizise too much; that voice and that sound. From THE GARDEN to TOTAL ECLIPSE OF THE SUN with a lot more noisier stuff in between. Wow. Nice.

When I was a kid I was totally convinced for a while that I couldn't close my eyes (or BLUNDA in swedish - it's slightly different). But of course I did close my eyes now and then. Now I got this feeling that I'm not really INTO things, not really present, that stuff is passing by. But that's is probably not true either.

I just remember (listening to fantastic UNDERWEAR by Pulp) a lifetime ago when I did some crazy experiment with a guy that I didn't know and I started to write a book based on our correspondance that then moved to fast and turned into some kind of reality show and then a big mess. I wonder where that "book" ended up? In some old PC or like the other book I wrote a long time ago "Emelis Roman" that I found in my old Northface backpack some weeks ago: in a floppy disc. How am I supposed to open that? Maybe it's better not to. And I concentrate on doing what I'm good at. Right now: Playing with Sal and waiting for tomorrow night!!!

A lot of stress lately with new puppy, a lot of boring things at work and big worrying decisions in general...now: me at home making dinners for old good friends and new good friends.

Walks in the park, coffee at Gildas, sun and fresh autumn air, colorful leafs. I moved the furniture around and I'm also home alone for the weekend.

Those walks with the dog in early mornings are having a positive effect.

We went out to multicultural Skärholmen yesterday to get this little thing. It's almost too much. Cute puppy staring at me with wet eyes. He's sleeping a lot and prefers to be carried inside a bag instead of walking by himself. He's gonna be so fat, not good for his breathing problems.

Went to see like 6 different ones yesterday all over town...I just liked one. It was extremely expensive and really really beautiful. All people that went to see it were already kind of moving in. Planning where to put the bed and the wardrobes.

I just wanted to cry when I went out of it.

But still: It was on the first floor (don't like) and without balcony (where am I going to put all the plants?).

So it felt really nice to come home to out little house afterwards. It's small. But it's ours.

Copenhagen is great in the sun. I love walking around here. So far so close in some way. Overdose of nice clothes. A lot of thoughts. About clothes mainly. I'm not sad or anything but I've got this song in my brain for the last 3 days:

It seems like I've been to fairs my whole life. First Furniture Fairs with my dad. Then Record Fairs with my best friends dad. Then Book Fairs with my mom. Now Fashion Fairs since 8 years.

I'd like an apartment with a view like that. At least. And window as above. Do I ask too much?

One of those stupid questions: Why don't they ever have TOOTHPASTE in hotels? They have a lot of other stuff (sewing kits, shoeshiners) but never toothpaste. Here they did though. For the first time.

My heart kind of stopped. I hoped for a TOUR. But unfortunately only a tribute night.

A lot of broken hearts, lonely nights and girls that left him but he seemed in good spirits joking and playing around with the old guys in his band. So rare and wonderful to just lean back and share memories, take out all that old stuff and where I forgot you help me filling in what's missing and vice versa.

There are not important lifechanging situations we're talking about but the really small details ( a big oak behind school, a kid with a face but without name, summercamps, Sator & Bad Brains...). Still that what remains; where you go back when you fell a certain smell or a song. To the small stupid things. I love them and feel safe and comfortable with them.

The only time I actually saw an extremely long line to the mens bathroom and when I opened the girls room it was all empty.

95 % guys. All of them dressed more or less the same. Not so much hair but growing bellies. Like the groups; Built to Spill were probably the most boring band on stage ever (and they looked exactly like the audience) but they were great. Guitars from heaven.

Where were all the girls? Were were the girlfriends of all the guys? Or is flannel shirts, self-pity, guitars & six-packs of beer not attractive now like it was it the 90's?

J. looked like Bob from Twin Peaks (o an ANGEL like Helena said. She's obsessed) with long white hair. 14 years ago, when I saw Dinosaur the last time, he had darker hair. But still going strong. They touch that nostalgic-being-15-again feeling that makes me never want to grow up.

Isn't Sonic Youth and Dinosaur our Rolling Stones and Beatles (or a lo-fi version, the real deal should be Nirvana/Metallica)? They keep going year after year (but never really becoming really mainstream), some kind of evolution, if you're lucky you can still catch a good concert with them in a place that is not Wembley Arena or Madison Square Garden.

The Best Coast @ Debaser on Friday night. It was OK but nothing special at all. A lot of groups sounds like that and it's a really good sounds but if I have to listen to something like that I prefer the good old Detroit Cobras and I am as boring as that and that's it.

The Almighty Defenders @ Strand on Saturday night. First King Khan & The BBQs played then Black Lips and then all together. It was good but I heard it before and it was a little long in the end. A little bit too funny too. I'm just this negative becauseon wednesday I'll go and see Dinosaur & Built to Spill and AlmigtydefendersblacklipsbestcoastWHATEVER will never ever reach that levels.

It was so hot last weekend and it was incredibly wonderful. We biked up to Ulriksdals Trädgård and that was a nice place, it's like biking through paradise with all these flowers and childhoodmemories connected to the smell of the flowers (I've been away so long) and I got some more seeds and plants so now we'll welcome STRAWBERRIES to the balcony.

Vitabergsparken yesterday night felt like a movie set. It doesn't seem real. Maybe because we're still not used to the warm weather, like someone it's joking with us, like the snow will be back in any second. The park is full of people and everybody looks just perfect. Too good. It's a homogen country, and especially Stockholm and especially Södermalm and then of course, especially the ones that chose to get the last sunlight on that hill in that park. Indie-vintage-princesses still in highschool hanging out with their gay-friends, graphic designers (or similar) with MacBook shaped red eys and beards, tattooed suicide-girls/boys with black or purple hair and leoparddresses and Converse and cherryprints, drunk whitetrash (how white-trash can it be here?) girls and boys with 49,50 skr H&M tanktops in bright colors, 30-40-something couples with longhaired blonde babies running around wthout shoes in striped T-shirts, punks with stereos with noisy music "dirty hair" DISCHARGE & similar bandlogos on their studded leatherjackets. The same as it ever was.

"Animals are legally raped in Sweden" - i didn't know. I have to do some research about it. If it's true it horrifying.

A chilly spring-almost-summer morning like this makes me think of an early cherryblossomed summer in Prague a long long time ago. I went there with a pretentious ambition to write a novel. A book. And I brought an old typewriter with me, of course. When I arrived at my little rented apartment (that turned out to be a 5 squaremeter student-room behind a hill far far away in an ugly area where no one with romantic writing ambitions wants to stay) the typewriter was completely broke. But it was a nice chilly morning so I went running instead.

I have this Morrissey-song in my head that says "To give and to Get" or something similar and I can't find it anywhere. Maybe he sings something else but I'm quite sure it should be in Ringleader of the Tormentors but it is not.

To get something you have to give. Not pretend to give but actually sacrifice small pieces of yourself, your pride (I do prefer "orgoglio" in italian that sounds less gay as word) your experience, your patience. The only way to move ahead with people.

Got some nice packages from China 10 minutes ago full of new prototypes for SS2011 - and: WOW. Why are people so obsessed with "Made In Italy" or whatever, Made in Europe when those chinese people make beautiful high quality things in supergood fabrics, they're also really nice respectful reliable honest persons? Some kind of opposite racism, I know that all chinese people are not like that (like all italians probaly aren't non-reliable) so I guess I was lucky to meet the good ones. I can't wait to publish some pictures of the new clothes btw.

I was afraid all my little plants died after my weekend out-of-town but they weren't at all; instead they're growing incredibly fast.

Yesterday night: BBQ again. There will be so many of them this spring, I can feel it! I just need to find some balance go a lot with the bike/ try and eat healthy food, otherwise I have no idea how I will end up. That wine above is just about one of the best wines I've ever had. It's organic.

Lovisa came to the studio with her nice little *** (see above) in a new pair of 501's; Viva the 90's! She's always so ahead, we'll get it in a year or so...
...and a BOMBERJACKET was also around...
AND collecting cards with New Kids On the Block. Don't have a closer look at them, you'll feel embarrassed of the poster you had with small heart-stickers on- or was that only me?Real women need big burgers and beer after a hard days work. We went to Bröderna Olsson's. It's a great atmosphere but there is to much garlic around.

Finally I found a place where they're playing really good music! After Joshua Tree Pub in Firenze and Welcome to the Johnson's in New York I haven't found one single spot where I can hear the same music that I listen to at home. Got mail from Amsterdam today! Some copies of the book "Manga don't like wine", where I did some of the illustrations together with Luca & Mike.

I tried to bring some fashion into that book: these 2 guys are dressed in Burfitt & Luella...

Jag gick ut för att köpa en liter mjölk igårkväll och det slog mig hur vanlig jag kände mig när jag stog där i kassan för att betala på Coop och de höll på att stänga affären och snackade över huvudet på mig. Jag kände mig som en statist i en sjukt tråkig film. Sade tack, tog inte ens en påse, försökte få ner mjölken i min parkasficka men paketet var för stort så jag höll den i handen de ca 2,5 minuterna det tog att gå hem. Jaja.

Saturday we went out to Djurgården to fish. Last weekend we saw someone exactly in that spot that got a huge fish but that was probably the last one. So I read. As usual.

One of my favorite-illustrator-of-all-times is Stina Wirsen and yesterday it was the opening of an exhibition by her at Demo in Stockholm. Pink champagne and a lot of beautiful drawings! I've studied her work so much the last years so I was almost disappointed to see the drawing "live", but anyway: she's one of the best.

I also bumped into this lovely Gauguin-sketch last Sunday at Thielska Galleriet ( a place full of swedish late 1800-romantics- and also some other stuff).

We're still around zero up here, so my new hobby PLANTING still has to be done inside. But it's growing like hell.

It's raining for the first time in 4 months. For me it seems like I haven't felt rain since last winter in Rome. The whole sky came down several times a day. And I was usually under it, with my bike.

It's a great IMPORTANT day I think. Average people in the US will be able to go to the doctor in a near future. Even if they are not rich. A big progress. It will cost US a lot of money but still it's probably cheaper than just half of one of those wars they have going on out there. It's getting more civilized.

Cleaning up after a great party yesterday night! We definitely have to do that again. Then lunch at Kafe 44 that is my latest obsession. Positive things about that place:

1) Great supercheap vegetarian lunch.
2)It makes me feel like 14 again.

The first CD I got long long time ago was Wicked Game by Chris Isaak. A concert with him was the only thing missing before MAYBE moving on and change genre.

And now it's happening. We we're talking about it the other day and the day after it was posters all over town and when I got back from work L surprised me with tickets for the Chris Isaak concert in june. Lovely.

Och så var det Tindersticks konsert igår igen. Förväntningarna var extremt höga så jag blev såklar besviken. Eller typ: det var bättre förr när de var LEDSNARE. Nu hade han ringen på sitt finger och spelade en massa glada låtar (fast han grät under två gamla trista sånger, det gjorde nästan jag också, när de är bra så är de verkligen superbra.)

Anna von Hausswolff spelade innan och hon var så liten på alla sätt och vis men den RÖSTEN! Skulle vilja höra henne sjunga Deep in the woods med Birthday Party. Det vore något!

Under dagen var vi iväg till Hammarbybacken för Luca skulle åka snowboard och jag satt i solen och läste och spelade spel på telefonen och tittade på alla hurtiga skidmänniskor som gick konstigt pga stora klumpiga pjäxor. Fick mig att tänka på aliens (såg District 9 häromkvällen - vilken s-k-i-t omg) eller konstiga mutanter.

En vecka tidigare var det också väldigt soligt o fint. Alla gnäller på mörkret häruppe i norr men jag har aldrig varit med om så mkt sol. I Rom regnade det hela tiden o i New York var det vitt hela tiden.

It's nice to sit here in the lobby of Chelsea Hotel and the snowstorm outside, people coming and going, talking like everybody know each other, old curious ladies that wants to know who I am (I definitely want to know who they are.) It might be Tim Burton sitting in the armchair over there, or only someone that looks exactly like him. The whole place is full of spanish clowns doing a photoshooting.

Great to see Paola again, really really great, and tonight I'll go back to Brooklyn. Long time no see...

Lagar fiskgratäng och njuter (tyvärr) av att åter ha internet. Snöstormen (eller inbrottstjuvarna på nedre botten) har gjort mig internetslös hela dagen och det är iofs rätt så nyttigt. Var och letade efter franskt Carmenere vin på systemet men fick informationen att efter någon lus-attack så är de druvorna utdöda (sedan lång tid tillbaka). En berusad man underhöll trots denna tråkiga nyhet, genom att påpeka vad alla sura kalla trötta vanliga människor som stod i kö hade för sig och såg ut. Jag hostade som en karl sa han. "Du e ju skiiiiitlång!" sa han till en annan, och "Vafan skaaru med den där till du verkar ju föfaan redan skitfull" fick en rödhårig kulturtant höra.

Bar upp 30 lådor med tidningar till studion idag. Här behövs minsann inget gym (det var stängt imorse och jag visste inte riktigt vem jag skulle bli arg på, så jag blev arg på Sverige i allmänhet och tänkte att det där skulle minsann inte hänt i New York o så räknade jag dagarna en gång till och de är alldeles för få för att hinna med allt jag måste hinna med. som vanligt).
