From coast-to-coast sleeping thanks to the little pink pill Marie gave me. Woke up on the west-coast somewhere over the canyons. My first impression of San Francisco was the dark green color of the mountains. Then the fresh chilly air that cleaned out my BBQ-smoke-fried-junk-food-stinking-bed-bug-infected mind. Incredible hills and the first time I put my feet in the Pacific Ocean. It's so calm here. We ran down to City Lights Bookshop. I thought I could wait a day or so but I wanted to go there since I was 16 so I guess the time had come. I bought tons of books, my own fault that i now have to carry them around. It was one of the most surreal days of my life, we were sitting on the top of a hill looking down at the bay and the bridge and all the sailing-boats and the sun came out and the fresh air all around, it makes me want to DO things. Continue to do things. See and live everything. It's so easy to have prejudice and clear ideas of how a place is before you go there, then you put your feet in the new town and the feeling of the place is different. The smells, the air, the faces of the people, your personal associations.
...so I did.
